A kiwi, a long way from home
DeeDee made her way from New Zealand to Singapore and did rather well for herself (she's in snacks). Her cousins back home didn't have it so easy. Wild kiwi are in trouble. The good news is they recover when people step in. Buying a DeeFruit sends a little support home.

Meet the kiwi
In the wild, most kiwi chicks don't make it mostly because of introduced predators. But it doesn't have to be that way.

About Save the Kiwi
The New Zealand charity on a mission to reverse the decline of the country's national bird.
Save the Kiwi funds community-led conservation right across Aotearoa New Zealand: predator control, population monitoring, and education. Through its Operation Nest Egg programme, kiwi eggs are lifted to safety and the chicks raised in a protected "kiwi kindergarten" until they are big enough to defend themselves, then returned to the wild. It works, too. In predator-managed areas, chick survival rises from around 5% to 60%, which is exactly what your support this October helps make possible.
